About Me

For as long as I can remember, I have been involved in music in some way.

Hoping to learn how to play piano like my dad, I started taking piano lessons in elementary school and quickly fell in love with making music. I learned how to play songs that I listened to, wrote my own music, and played for my local church in New Braunfels, Texas.

Throughout middle and high school, I participated in band as a saxophonist, further immersing myself in many different types of music. I learned more about classical music, performed in multiple jazz bands, further dived into creating my own music, and continued to hone my abilities on the piano. Because of my passion for music throughout middle and high school, I decided to pursue a degree in music education at Texas State University following my graduation.

While at Texas State, I continued to improve as a musician and learned how to teach music to others as well. I was the principal saxophonist in the Texas State Wind Symphony, played piano in multiple jazz/funk/pop bands, served as the drum major for the Bobcat Marching Band, and studied how to be an effective educator.
